====== Display Titles ====== Mezzmo uses display titles to determine how your files are listed in Mezzmo and on your devices. You can set the format of the display titles for the various types of files using the Display Titles dialog. Click the **Display Titles** button on the Options dialog (General page) to set display titles for all playlists and folders in your Mezzmo library. Click the **Display Titles** button on the Playlist or Folder Properties dialog to set display titles for a particular playlist and folder. You can use special keywords to customize your display titles. Special keywords are denoted by %XXXX%. Click the **Add Keyword** button to see the full list of keywords. {{:displaytitles.png?nolink|Display Titles dialog}} ==== Display Title Example 1: ==== If you have named your files using titles like 'The Simpsons S26E03" and you want to see these titles in Mezzmo then you can use the keyword %FILENAME% to use the filename minus the extension as the title. ==== Display Title Example 2: ==== If you have a movie file in your Mezzmo library, and it has a title of 'Inception' and a Year of 2010. And the display title format for movies is set to: %TITLE% (%YEAR%) Then, the file will listed as 'Inception (2010)' ==== Display Title Example 3: ==== If you have a photo file in your Mezzmo library, and it has a title of 'DCM023763' and resolution of 2048x1920 pixels. And the display title format for photos is set to: %TITLE% (%WIDTH%x%HEIGHT%px) Then, the file will listed as 'DCM023763 (2048x1920px)' ==== Display Title Example 4: ==== If you have a music file in your Mezzmo library, and it has a title of 'Devils haircut' as Track 1 from the album 'Odelay' from artist 'Beck'.

And the display title format for music is set to: %TRACK% - %TITLE% (%ARTIST% - %ALBUM%) Then, the file will listed as '1 - Devils haircut (Beck - Odelay)'. ==== Display Title Example 5: ==== You can use the %FILECOUNTER% keyword to add a numeric counter to your display title. This is useful if your device is sorting your files itself and ignoring the specific sort order that you are specifying in Mezzmo. For example, if the display title is %FILECOUNTER% %TITLE%, then your files will be listed as: 001 Inception\\ 002 Star Trek\\ 003 The Expendables\\ etc. ==== Video ==== The display title format for video files.
